Said Lambert: “This time of year, it’s so important to remember shelter animals everywhere. These three shelters have been important local partners to MuttNation over the past several years, and we all know how tough it’s been for them. I just wanted show my appreciation.”  Tractor Supply Company then surprised Miranda and MuttNation by giving $1,000 gift cards to 10 shelters and rescues that help senior pets and/or pets with special needs.

Lambert founded the MuttNation Foundation with her mom, Bev Lambert, in 2009. MuttNation is a donation-supported 501c(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to promote the adoption of shelter pets, advance spay & neuter and educate the public about the benefits of these actions. Luke Bryan shakes up a port-a-potty and more in “razzle dazzle”-filled Pranksmas compilation

Luke Bryan's household is at it again, with their annual tradition of the 12 Days of Pranksmas ramping up like never before.

The holiday tradition finds Luke, his wife Caroline, his mom LeClaire and the rest of the family taking turns pulling pranks on each other during the holiday season. No one — not even the kids — is safe during Pranksmas, as evidenced by a hilarious new compilation video the singer's wife shared on Wednesday.

“Hope these add a little razzle dazzle to your day!” wrote Caroline, alongside a montage of some of the most epic pranks that have been pulled so far. The country superstar himself shakes a port-a-potty (while it's in use!), and wishes his wife a gloating “Happy Pranksmas!” after he pulls a prank on her during a ski trip.

This year, Pranksmas is getting an extra boost, as Caroline launched a contest in partnership for her Best Bad Influence clothing line. Fans are invited to submit their best pranks, and the Bryan family will choose the 10 best. Winners will receive a $200 Visa gift card.

The deadline to submit a prank is this Wednesday at 6 p.m. CT. Five winners will be announced on December 23, and five more on December 24.

Dierks Bentley takes a tumble in the snow while trying to film his bike ride: “That's what I get”

ABC

Dierks Bentley found a new meaning for his 2003 hit “What Was I Thinkin'” this week, when he tried to simultaneously bike down a snowy hill and film it — resulting in a pretty epic tumble.

Never one to mind a laugh at his own expense, the singer posted the footage to social media despite the fact that it didn’t turn out how he was hoping. The clip starts with stunning views of Dierks’ downhill ride, but soon, the camera — and the cameraman — roll off the bike and into the snow below.

Fortunately, Dierks went down laughing.” That’s what you get for trying to film and bike at the same time,” he said good-naturedly, pointing the camera at his face.

It’s a good thing Dierks didn’t hurt himself during the fall, especially because he’s got a gig coming up next week. He’s headed to Nashville to perform at the city’s annual New Year’s Eve concert, which this year will be broadcast as a CBS special.

The singer’s also gearing up to release new music. If you’re in his fan club, you can check out the studio version of one of his new songs, called “Tell Em Right Now,” which he dropped as a fan-exclusive track earlier this week.

They performed from the White House's Green Room. The PBS special aired from various historic rooms in the building, with artists performing from the State Dining Room, the East Room and the Blue Room — the latter of which is the location of the Official White House Christmas Tree.

In case you missed it last night, you can stream In Performance at the White House: Spirit of the Season on PBS' website.

Florida Georgia Line's Tyler Hubbard explains why he decided not to spank his kids

Before they became parents, Tyler Hubbard and his wife, Hayley, also figured they'd spank their kids occasionally. After all, that's how both of them were raised, the couple explain during a new episode of the Meaning Full Living podcast, which Haley co-hosts.

The couple are parents to three young children now, and they haven't yet used spanking as a form of discipline. That's simply because they realize it's not the best way to communicate with their kids' particular, individual personalities, Tyler explains. For example, he remembers one time when he raised his voice to his oldest daughter, three-year-old Liv.

“She got scared, and she got upset. I thought, Man, that's terrible,'” the singer recounts. Rather than keep leaning into that stern, disciplinarian side, Tyler says he apologized to his daughter for raising his voice.

“I was able to come to her level and say, Daddy is really sorry. I should not have talked to you that way,'” he continues. “Haley and I want compliant kids, but we also want kids who trust us and want to talk to us about things.”

Brett Eldredge delivers a half-hour living room quarantine livestream as he recovers from COVID-19

Recently, Brett Eldredge had to postpone a couple of the shows on his Glow Live Tour after testing positive for COVID-19. However, quarantine's not stopping him from bringing the holiday spirit to fans.

This week, he got all dressed up and performed a half-hour livestream concert of Christmas classics from his living room. Complete with a bow tie, microphone and lit-up tree in the background, Brett delivered a quarantine version of his Christmas tour set list, livestreaming the event on his social channels.

“Yes, I am in quarantine,” Brett joked. “I am healing up nicely. I'm feeling really great.”

Not only was he feeling well enough to perform, but the show was a refreshing pace from Brett’s normal quarantine activities, the singer went on to say.

“Just being able to sing beats the heck out of watching Netflix. I did go sledding down the stairs the other day,” he added. “My dog was just staring at me like I'm a weirdo.”

Brett's Glow Live Tour isn't quite done yet. He rescheduled the dates he had to cancel — a pair of shows in Chicago — to December 29 and 30.

President Biden addresses the nation to announce changes to COVID-19 plan; including more access to rapid tests, military help for hospitals

President Joe Biden addressed the nation on Tuesday afternoon, announcing changes to his winter COVID-19 plan in light of the Omicron variant causing a rapid surge in positive cases across the country. Among the changes the President noted were providing an additional 500 million rapid coronavirus tests for use across the country. Biden also detailed other changes, including new testing sites, greater support for overloaded hospitals and more efforts for vaccination and booster doses.

Biden and his medical advisers have been monitoring the spread of the Omicron strain, which has quickly become the dominant variant nationwide. The mutation is responsible for almost 75% of all new cases across the United States. The President said: “I know you’re tired. I really mean this, and I know you’re frustrated. We all want this to be over. But we’re still in it. And this is a critical moment. We also have more tools than we have ever had before. We’re ready. We’ll get through this.”

A new website will make nearly 500 million COVID-19 rapid antigen tests available and delivered to homes free of charge for anyone who wants them. Biden also reinforced that his vaccine mandate has been reinstated by an appeals court. The rules require companies with more than 100 employees to require them to be vaccinated or conduct daily testing. “The rule is legal and effective, and it’s going to save thousands of American lives,” he said.

Biden said the the Defense Department is being directed to prepare an additional 1,000 military doctors, nurses, paramedics and other medical personnel to be deployed to hospitals in January and February in an effort to prevent hospitals from becoming overfilled.
