LoCash to reunite with The Beach Boys on ABC's 'Good Morning America'

LoCash is keeping up the summertime vibes with an upcoming appearance on ABC's Good Morning America, and they’re bringing Mike Love and Bruce Johnston of The Beach Boys with them.

During their stop on the show, the acts will deliver the national television premiere of “Beach Boys,” LoCash's new song, which tributes and features the legendary pop rockers. After performing the new single, they'll stick around the studio for a performance of The Beach Boys' 1988 classic “Kokomo.”

The Beach Boys have picked up some serious country cred since LoCash's new single came out; Last month, they joined the country duo to make their Grand Ole Opry debut. While they were backstage, LoCash surprised Mike and Bruce with two pairs of snakeskin boots, officially welcoming them to the country music family.

LoCash and the Beach Boys' GMA performance is set for August 2.

‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’ crew member shot and killed on set in Brooklyn, New York

NBCUniversal has confirmed that a crew member from the NBC series ‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’ was shot and killed on the set of the television show Tuesday in New York City.

The New York Police Department said the 31-year-old victim, Johnny Pizarro of Queens, was a contracted employee hired to hold parking spots for movie and television productions which are common in the Greenpoint neighborhood of Brooklyn where the show is filming. The block was permitted through the city for a shoot for Law & Order: Organized Crime.

The NYPD said a gunman opened Pizarro’s car door and opened fire at approximately 5:15 a.m. EDT. Pizarro was shot multiple times in the face and neck before being transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.  NYPD said they believe the shooting was targeted and are still looking for the suspect, who was described as a man with a thin build wearing a black hoodie and black pants.

NBCUniversal is working with law enforcement as they investigate. NBC and Universal Television said in a statement:  “We were terribly saddened and shocked to hear that one of our crew members was the victim of a crime early this morning and has died as a result. We are working with local law enforcement as they continue to investigate.”

Amazon files lawsuit against more than 10,000 Facebook groups over fake reviews

Amazon filed a lawsuit against administrators of more than 10,000 Facebook groups it accuses of brokering fake reviews.  Amazon alleged in a statement that the fake review groups recruited individuals to post reviews “in exchange for money or free products” on Amazon stores in the United States, Britain, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and Japan, such as “car stereos and camera tripods.”

Amazon says it seeks trustworthy reviews on individuals’ experiences with products from its stores and it has an “anti-manipulation policy” that strictly prohibits fake customer reviews. Amazon noted in its statement that it has more than 12,000 employees worldwide dedicated to investigating such reviews.  Dharmesh Mehta, Amazon’s vice president of Selling Partner Services, in the statement: “Our teams stop millions of suspicious reviews before they’re ever seen by customers, and this lawsuit goes a step further to uncover perpetrators operating on social media. Proactive legal action targeting bad actors is one of many ways we protect customers by holding bad actors accountable.”

Since 2020, Amazon has reported more than 10,000 fake review groups to Facebook’s parent company Meta. Out of the 10,000 groups, Meta has taken down more than half of them for policy violations while it continues to investigate others.

Reba McEntire is “so appreciative” to see generations of fans at her shows

Reba McEntire has been having the time of her live out on the road on her first solo headlining tour in more than a decade. But what makes it so special is the generations of fans she sees in the audience each night.

The country legend made it a point to ask the crowd in every city how many were attending their first concert of hers, noting that the majority of people would raise their hands, with ages ranging from young kids to elderly people.

“We got to noticing the demographics of the audience, and they were everybody from 8, 9 years old to 90 years old. If those 11-year-olds hadn’t been to a concert, which they hadn’t, I hadn’t done a tour since 2011. They weren’t even born yet. So it was fascinating to me,” the singer says.

Reba also paid attention to the young people singing along to her decades-old hits and could feel the excitement from the crowd about seeing a live show after more than a year of social distancing due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I was in awe of how many people were so thrilled to be out and listening to live music. I was so appreciative, so thankful,” Reba raves. “We were just tickled to pieces.”

The superstar launched her Reba: Live in Concert tour earlier this year with an all-female lineup that ran from January through March. She’ll embark on the second leg in the fall from October 13 through November 19, with Terri Clark joining as the opening act.

Justin Bieber set to return to his ‘Justice World Tour’ after his diagnosis with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome

Nearly seven weeks after he revealed his Ramsay Hunt syndrome diagnosis, Justin Bieber will resume his Justice World Tour at the end of the month. The 28-year-old confirmed via Instagram that he’ll return to the stage at Lucca Summer Festival in Italy on July 31, and will take the stage for five other European shows in August before heading to South America in September. Bieber has 75 shows scheduled throughout the next several months with stops also booked across Asia, Australia and Africa. Postponed North American dates are expected to be rescheduled for next year soon.

Bieber had canceled the remainder of his North American tour dates in June after revealing that he’d been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome. He addressed fans at the time in a video, saying, “I’m just physically not capable of doing them.  This is pretty serious, as you can see. I wish this wasn’t the case. But obviously my body is telling me I need to slow down. I have this syndrome called Ramsay Hunt syndrome. … It is from this virus that attacks the nerve in my ear and my facial nerves and has caused my face to have paralysis. As you can see this eye is not blinking. I can’t smile on this side of my face. This nostril will not move.”
