Reba McEntire has a “blast” working with boyfriend Rex Linn

Reba McEntire not only has a boyfriend in Rex Linn, she also has a scene partner.

The couple act alongside one another in the new season of Big Sky, in which Reba portrays the character of Sunny Barnes, a backcountry outfitter with a seedy past, while Rex plays her husband, Buck Barnes.

Though the couple enjoys working together, Reba admits that Rex is a bit of a stickler when it comes to running lines.

“He makes me rehearse so much. By the time we get on the set, I know my lines, your lines,” Reba says on Good Morning America, pointing to all the hosts. “But it’s fun, I love it. We have a blast.”

Big Sky season 3 premieres tomorrow night at 10 p.m. ET on ABC. Reba and Rex will also appear in the Lifetime movie, The Hammer, set for release next year.

Luke Bryan and Riley Green cover Tim McGraw on Farm Tour

Luke Bryan is clearly having fun on his Farm Tour.

After performing “Born Here Live Here Die Here” with the song’s co-writer, Jameson Rodgers, Luke also invited opening act Riley Green for some onstage antics.

The two entertained the crowd with a cover of Tim McGraw‘s hit “Where the Green Grass Grows” during a recent stop on the Farm Tour. At one point, Luke takes a sign from a fan in the audience and resorts to having Riley sign it for him since he lacked a pen.

“I’d love to sign your sign Luke Bryan. Do you want me to sign it for you?” Riley asks, Luke following with his own signature.

In between singing the lyrics, Luke continued the onstage antics by taking a pair of a fan’s glasses and walking around the stage with them on his head.

“Some songs fit just right out there on a farm. Don't ya think@rileyduckman?” Luke writes on Instagram. “[You’re] an animal,” Riley replies.

Luke launched the Farm Tour on September 15. It continues through September 24.

Garth Brooks says completing the Stadium Tour is like “winning the Super Bowl”

Garth Brooks is reflecting on the success of his Stadium Tour.

Garth has been traveling the world since 2018. He performed for a total audience of three million people and concluded with a five-night stay at Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland.

Now that he’s back in the U.S., Garth is reflecting on the fact that despite the challenges of the tour over the past four years, including the COVID-19 pandemic, the Stadium Tour was a resounding success.

“It's like winning the Super Bowl. You're happy, you're sad. It's kind of that crash after you're done,” Garth reflects on the conclusion of the massive trek. “But at the same time, it could have not gone better! Even with the two pandemic shutdowns, it could not have gone better. To finish the Stadium Tour that way? That was big!”

The superstar is looking ahead to the next chapter, which includes receiving the Kris KristoffersonLifetime Achievement Award at the Nashville Songwriter Awards Tuesday night.

Blake Shelton was “fired up” the first time he heard “No Body”

Blake Shelton was an instant fan of his new single, “No Body.”

The song serves as a throwback to ’90s country and includes a “quick cameo” in the video of Blake’s famous mullet, his signature style as an upcoming country star in that decade.

“At this point in my career, I just want to release music that gets me fired up,” Blake shares on The Kelly Clarkson Show of why he recorded the song. “That’s when I was in high school was the 90s, so this song took me back there.”

The track also reminded him of the music of ’90s country legend, Tracy Byrd, known for his signature hit, “Watermelon Crawl.” At the end of the “No Body” video, Blake includes a reference to Tracy when he’s smacked in the face with a huge slice of watermelon slice.

“I said ‘Tracy I know you won’t like the song enough to watch the whole song, but fast forward to the end because it’s for Tracy Byrd at the end of the video,'” the singer jokes. “That’s for you Tracy Byrd.

“No Body” is currently in the top 30 on country radio.

Judge orders the release of Adnan Syed after overturning his murder conviction

On Monday a judge ordered the release of Adnan Syed, the Baltimore man serving a life sentence for a 1999 murder he says he did not commit, after overturning his conviction. Syed’s case was chronicled in the popular podcast “Serial.” The 42-year-old Syed was released to home confinement after serving more than 20 years in prison.  Baltimore Circuit Court Judge Melissa Phinn said she overturned his conviction “in the interest of justice.”  Prosecutors have not yet said whether they will seek a new trial or drop the charges against him. Phinn gave the state 30 days to decide which course to pursue.

Syed had been convicted in the killing of his former high school girlfriend, Hae Min Lee, whose body was found buried in a Baltimore park. Prosecutors cited a lack of confidence “in the integrity of the conviction” after completing a yearlong investigation with Syed’s attorneys. Lee’s brother, Young, attended the hearing remotely from California. Though he told the court he trusted the system, he also said he felt “betrayed” having believed the right person had been brought to justice.

Phinn’s decision to overturn his conviction follows a request from prosecutors last week, who said they weren’t asserting that Syed is innocent, but that they have uncovered new evidence that potentially links two previously known suspects to Lee’s murder. Evidence about those unidentified individuals had been withheld from Syed’s defense attorneys during his trial.

Syed’s criminal case captured the attention of millions in 2014 when he became the focus of the hit podcast ‘Serial’ that raised doubts about the evidence presented against him, including cellphone tower data. “Serial” podcast host Sarah Koenig was in the courtroom at the time of Syed’s ordered release, and the podcast announced on Twitter that a new episode of the program will be released Tuesday morning.

Britain lays Queen Elizabeth II to rest in State funeral after 10 days of public mourning

10 days of official public mourning culminated in the funeral for Queen Elizabeth II, Britain’s longest-serving monarch. The coffin bearing Queen Elizabeth II’s body was then lowered into the royal vault Monday after a ceremony at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.

The public funeral at Westminster Abbey earlier in the day was attended by world leaders, family members and many more; while the final service for Elizabeth in the chapel was said to be a more private end to the ceremonies that began after she died Sept. 8 at Balmoral Castle in Scotland.

Tens of thousands lined the Mall in London to watch the procession that followed the funeral. The Queen’s coffin was carried on a Royal Navy gun carriage from the funeral service to the Wellington Arch near Hyde Park. where it was then transferred to a state hearse for the journey to Windsor.

Elizabeth’s son, King Charles III, and other members of the royal family were to witness the actual burial in the King George VI Memorial Chapel, which is a small alcove on the side of the main building. The queen will eventually be joined there by her husband, Prince Philip, after his body is moved from the royal vault where he was interred after his death last year. Buckingham Palace said it would not be releasing any other details about the “deeply personal family occasion.”

Keith Urban formed a deep connection with “Brown Eyes Baby” the first time he heard it

Keith Urban feels an undeniable connection to his new single, “Brown Eyes Baby.”

In order for Keith to record a song that he didn’t write, he has to feel a personal connection to it, like he did the first time he heard “Brown Eyes,” which was co-penned by Morgan Wallen, Josh Thompson, Rodney Clawson and William Bundy.

“If I’m looking for a song that I haven’t written, it’s going to be having a reaction to it that I feel. I know the song, I know this person, I know the scene. [If] the song feels like me, that’s it,” Keith describes of his selection process.

The superstar heard “Brown Eyes Baby” for the first time in January; the song evoked a feeling he couldn’t deny and he instantly “fell in love.”

“It was one of those visceral reactions to a song that sometimes it’s more about the way I feel hearing it than anything else,” he says. “I’m not really analyzing why I like the song, I just loved it. Once I heard it a lot more, I realized it’s everything: it’s the lyric, it’s the melody, it’s the way the song is written. It just connected. It made a connection with me.”

“Brown Eyes Baby” is the third single off Keith’s upcoming album. It’s climbing up the top 40 on U.S. country radio and has peaked inside the top five in his native Australia.
