Elton John announced that his final U.S. show will be livestreamed on Disney+. The show —scheduled for November 20 at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles — is part of a deal Elton had with Disney that includes the previously announced documentary Goodbye Yellow Brick Road: The Final Elton John Performances and the Years That Made His Legend, which will feature concert footage from throughout his career, excerpts from his journals, and new footage of the singer and his family.

The livestreamed show will be titled Elton John Live: Farewell From Dodger Stadium; his other two shows at Dodger Stadium set to take place on Thursday November 17 and Saturday 19, will also be filmed (but not streamed.)

Elton launched his Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour in 2018; he rescheduled his original run of U.S. tour dates set for 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  The tour will continue through North America before heading to Australia and New Zealand in January, and will then wrap-up with a leg in Ireland, the UK and Europe. Lewis Capaldi shares the music video for ‘Forget Me’

Lewis Capaldi has shared the video for his new song “Forget Me”, which pays homage to WHAM!’s classic single, “Club Tropicana.” Capaldi set out to duplicate the 1983 video, shot for shot, with director Louis Bhose at the helm (Bhose also directed Capaldi’s video for his single “Grace.”)

Director Bhose said in a press release: “You hear a sad song and you expect a sad video. There’s catharsis in that. But to go in the other direction completely felt more in line with the Lewis that walked onstage at Glastonbury in full Noel Gallagher getup The performance is classic Capaldi: ‘yeah, no bother, just singing this song with a cocktail in my hand. I’m fine, not thinking about my ex, here at Club Tropicana.’”

In the first 24 hours since it was released, ‘Forget Me’ has racked up more than 2 million streams.
Capaldi shared in a statement: “‘Forget Me’ is a song that’s so dear to my heart, and I definitely feel like it’s my best tune yet. It’s about a break-up I went through where after a year, the only real contact I had with my ex was seeing her ‘post-me’ life play out on her Instagram. I was at a point where I was feeling pretty miserable, and she seemed like she was moving on and having the best time, thriving, and I hated it. It seemed unfair to me that she appeared happy while I was hurting, and I was fearful she might have forgotten about me completely, so I wrote a song about it.”

Darius Rucker to perform with Chapel Hart on 'America's Got Talent' finale

Chapel Hart will be getting a little help from Darius Rucker this week on America’s Got Talent.

The country superstar will join Danica HartDevynn Hart and Trea Swindle for a collaborative performance of one of his favorite songs on the season 17 finale.

Chapel Hart went viral with their audition performance of their original song, “You Can Have Him Jolene,” in July. They became the second act in the show’s history to receive a Golden Buzzer that advanced them to the next round and ultimately secured a spot in the finale, where they’re up against 10 other acts.

“Like so many people, I was blown away when I saw Chapel Hart's original response to Jolene' during their audition. Their energy on that stage has been contagious to watch and I'm honored they asked me to be part of their finale experience – especially to perform one of my favorite songs of all time!” Darius says in a statement.

After seeing the audition, the Hootie & the Blowfish member revealed that he’d invited Chapel Hart to appear on his next album.

AGT airs live Wednesday on NBC at 8 p.m. ET. Chapel Hart will also make their Grand Ole Opry debut on September 17.

Mitchell Tenpenny teases “Good Place” off 'This Is the Heavy'

Mitchell Tenpenny is teasing a new song off his upcoming album.

Recently, the singer shared a clip of a track called “Good Place” that follows a heartbroken man after a breakup, with the lyrics stating people can blame it on him acting “too selfish” and refusing to grow up, or the other party  being jealous. Either way, he ventures to a bar to drink away his sorrows.

“I can’t take it/But I can take another shot baby/I’m not in a good place/But I’m in this bar/So I’m in a good place for a broken heart,” he sings over a fast paced pop-country melody.

“I couldn't be more excited about this record! So many new songs!” the Nashville native shares. “I wasn't suppose to share anymore but f*** it here's one more.”

“Good Place” is featured on Mitchell’s new album, This is The Heavy, along with his current #1 hit, “Truth About You.” The album is out on Friday.

President Biden details efforts to end cancer on 60th anniversary of John F. Kennedy’s famous ‘Moonshot’ speech

On the 60th anniversary of one of former President John F. Kennedy’s most famous speeches, President Joe Biden called to “end cancer as we know it and cure cancers once and for all.” Biden delivered his speech on Monday at the John F. Kennedy Library in Massachusetts to address his “Cancer Moonshot” initiative, six decades after Kennedy gave his speech at Rice University proclaiming the United States would put astronauts on the moon by the end of the 1960s.

Said Biden: “On this day in 1962, America was facing an inflection point. It was one of those times that changes everything from the day before to the day after. A shadow of world wars cast over a cold war and a march on civil rights, urgent yet uncertain.”  Biden defined America as full of possibilities and said when Kennedy “set that goal, he established a national purpose that could rally the American people around a common cause and he succeeded. Now is our time.”

In his speech, Biden announced Dr. Renee Wegrzyn as the inaugural Director of Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H), a new agency created to drive biomedical innovation. He also signed an executive order to launch a National Biotechnology and Biomanufacturing Initiative, an initiative to grow the strength and diversity of domestic biomanufacturing capacity. Biden also emphasized his efforts to lower prescription drug costs, including cancer drugs, through the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022. Biden’s plan establishes the White House Cancer Cabinet, an initiative involving multiple departments across the federal government, and calls for improved and earlier cancer screenings and detection, as well as prevention and at-home screenings. The White House said in a statement on Monday that “it is a vision that will change people’s lives for the better, improve their health and decrease the burden of the disease.”

The Cancer Moonshot was originally launched when Biden was vice president under the Obama administration, and Biden relaunched the initiative in Feb. 2022 as president.  It has been an initiative that the president has personally been invested in since losing his son, Beau Biden, to an aggressive form of brain cancer in 2015.

Police believe 3 children found dead on Coney Island beach were drowned by mother

Three children were pronounced dead after police found them unconscious early Monday morning along the Coney Island shoreline in Brooklyn, N.Y., and authorities believe they may have been drowned by their mother.  During a news conference held on the boardwalk where officers discovered the children, New York Police Department Chief Kenneth Corey confirmed that a 7-year-old male, a 4-year-old female, and a 3-and-a-half month baby were found at the water’s edge at around 4:42 a.m. Monday.  Corey said that “the officers immediately initiated life-saving measures on the children and they were rushed to Coney Island Hospital where they were regrettably pronounced deceased.”  The children were later identified as 3-month-old Oliver Bondarev, 4-year-old Lilana Merdy, and 7-year-old Zachary Merdy

The situation unfolded after officers responded to an apartment at 3325 Neptune Avenue, following a 911 call placed at around 1:40 a.m. by “a concerned family member.” While inside the building, police ran into the father of one of the kids, who told police the mother and the children were on the boardwalk, and he was concerned about what she might do. NYPD Chief Corey said that “the 911 caller indicated that she was concerned that her family may have harmed her three small children. Officers responded to the apartment … the officers  later found a 30-year-old female believed to be the mother of the three children. She was accompanied by other family members but not the children. The search then intensified, with aviation units, harbor units and additional canvases of the shoreline.”

The children’s mother, identified as 30-year-old Erin Merdy, is being questioned by detectives, but has refused to speak as of press time.  Chief Corey said that the woman was wet when officers first found her: “The mother was soaking wet. Whether she had been out in the rain or whether she had been in the water (ocean) is all speculative. She was wet, she was barefoot and she was not communicative to the officers. Right now we are looking for witnesses. We don’t know exactly what happened here. We are going to try to piece this all together.”

Miranda Lambert, Chris Stapleton & more reflect on ACM Honors

Miranda Lambert, Shania Twain, Chris Stapleton and Morgan Wallen are among the many artists who received awards at the ACM Honors.

Miranda says that receiving the Triple Crown Award is a symbol of her storied career, reflecting on her first ACM Awards in 2006.

“I always said, ‘My goal is to have a long career. I want to be able to sing and write songs for as long as I physically can,'” Miranda recalls. “It was affirmation that I’m on the right path because 2006 to 2022 is a long time.”

“It feels wonderful to be accepted and recognized for something I’ve been doing practically my whole life,” says Poet’s Award recipient Shania. “It’s an incredibly rewarding feeling to have that acceptance.”

Morgan also feels a sense of gratitude as the recipient of the ACM Milestone Award for his record-breaking album, Dangerous. The award arrives 18 months after he was caught on video using the N-word, and was temporarily banned from radio and had his record deal suspended.

“I’ve looked at the list of people who’ve won this award before me and there’s so many names that I respect, and look up to and that are legends in this industry,” he says. “It’s been a lot of hard work to get here, so I’m really proud.”

For Chris, receiving the Merle Haggard Spirit Award is a celebration of his originality and commitment to following his own musical path.

“If you thought to do things the way that he did things, it means you’re doing your own thing. And I think that’s probably one of the best compliments you could get,” Chris says.

ACM Honors will air on Fox September 13 at 8 p.m. ET.
